Mountain trips with a pram

Trip in Jasná with a pram

Jasná is one of the most popular destinations in Slovakia, both in summer and winter. It is an ideal place not only for lovers of skiing and hiking, but also for those planning trips with prams.

We also recommend trying our barrier-free cable car, which takes you from the Biela púť to the Rotunda. Breathtaking views and great food will make hot summer days more enjoyable. As well as the fun zone on the Biela púť where you can find trampolines, tubing, a train for kids and much more.

And don't forget about our events such as Bandits at a sheep farm in Priehyba or Behind seven mountains.

During the summer, you can look forward to various attractions and events, thanks to which you can enjoy fun in the fresh air, such as the highest sheep farm in Slovakia - the Priehyba sheep farm.

The resort offers many easily accessible trails suitable for all ages and physical conditions. Beautiful natural scenery can be admired when walking comfortably around Vrbické pleso (tarn) or along gentle forest paths. The trails are well-marked and safe, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable hiking experience. What’s more, Jasná has various relaxation zones and picnic spots where you can rest and recharge your batteries. For families with children or older people, these easy hikes are an ideal way to enjoy the beauty of the Tatra nature without excessive effort. There are easier valley walks or more challenging climbs to mountain peaks to choose from.

Rear snowmaking lakes
An easy walk around three snowmaking lakes offers beautiful views of the mountains in winter as well as summer. The lakes are located within the resort and are easy to find if you walk from the Grand Jasná Hotel past the Liptov Hotel. This option is also suitable as a trip with grandparents, an off-road pram or a dog.

Bencúr’s Tower/Lookout at Ostredok

This wooden lookout has two floors and a total height of about 7 metres, offering beautiful views around. It can be reached in about 20 minutes following the yellow marked trail from Biela púť past the Ostredok Hotel. It is named after a mountain rescuer and the initiator of its construction. From the top floor, one can see Mt Chopok, Mt Ďumbier and Mt Dereše, as well as entire Demänovská dolina (valley) and Mt Poľana. Continuing along the yellow tourist trail, you will reach the Symbolic cemetery.

Symbolic cemetery of the victims of the Low Tatras
If you keep walking from Bencúr's Tower, you will also get to the Symbolic cemetery dedicated to the victims of mountain accidents in the Low Tatras. It serves as a warning to today's tourists about the beauty and dangers of the mountains. The attraction can be reached via marked hiking trails running from Biela púť (1.5 km), Vrbické pleso (tarn) (2 km) and from the Demänovská Cave of Liberty (1.5 km).

Ján Šverma Memorial
The memorial is located about 600 metres from Biela púť and depicts scenes of the Slovak National Uprising. It is named after one of the heroes who died in the battles when crossing the area.

Vrbické pleso (tarn)
Vrbické pleso (tarn) is a picturesque mountain lake offering a peaceful environment for walks with dogs. There is a comfortable tourist trail around, suitable for parents with off-road prams or less demanding tourists and their dogs. After the walk, you can stop on one of the benches and feast your eyes on the surrounding natural beauty.

Lutonský Promenade
The educational trail about the history of tourism and the ski resort, which runs from Biela púť to the Björnson Cottage, offers an easy walk with a total length of 692 metres, which takes about 30 minutes. The promenade is an ideal place to have an easy lunch walk with grandparents, small children or dogs, combined with collecting new knowledge and learning interesting facts.

Hiking trails in the Low Tatras
Jasná is the gateway to the Low Tatras, offering numerous hiking trails suitable for trips with grandparents, small children and dogs.

  • Mt Chopok – Mt Ďumbier

With a dog, you can take the cable car to Mt Chopok, from where a moderately difficult trail leads to the highest peak of the Low Tatras – Mt Ďumbier. The red marked tourist trail runs past the Kamenná Chalet, through Demänovské sedlo (saddle) and Mt Krúpova Hoľa to Mt Ďumbier. You can return to Mt Chopok along the same route.

  • Mt Chopok – Mt Dereše

This route is ideal for visitors seeking an easy walk with beautiful views or with a dog in the Low Tatras. The trail runs from the Rotunda Restaurant at the top of Mt Chopok, where a wheelchair-friendly cable car operates, to Mt Dereše. From Rotunda, an easy stone path leads to the Dereše signpost, which takes less than 30 minutes to walk.
